United States Equestrian Federation
USEF is the governing body for safety and welfare of both equine and rider participants in equestrian sports.
USEF provides many resources for both "subscriber members" and "competing members". The learning center has great videos on horse care, different equestrian disciplines, welfare, and fitness.
United States Dressage Federation
USDF governs national education and competition of Dressage. There are achievements and awards for young riders, adult amateurs, professionals, and horses.

USDF recognizes many different breeds for year end "All-Breed Awards", one breed in particular being the
American Paint Horse.
American Paint Horse Accociation
American Paint Horse PAC Program website
APHA is the American registry of the Paint Horse breed. Traditionally the breed is used in Western disciplines. However, given the breed's work ethic and versatility they have grown in popularity for even more equestrian disciplines.

Paint Alternative Competition Program (PAC) offers a way to gain points in both completion and recreational riding for awards. USDF recognizes APHA and PAC for year end awards such as the "All-Breeds Awards".
